"How Effective Is Your Ethics Training Program?" : Lessons Learned

On September 27, 2011 EPAC presented its third workshop in the series on “Strategies for Effective Ethics Programs” (see below for information on the previous two). World-renowned academic Dr. Michael Hoffman provided a keynote presentation on the strategy of training as part of an effective ethics program. Group discussions then provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on Dr. Hoffman’s insights and to share their own practical experiences and lessons in ethics training programs -- key findings can be found further on in this article. EPAC would like to thank CBERN for its financial contribution to this workshop.

Results of Our Survey

We are happy to present the highlights and findings of our survey of ethics practitioners' needs and concerns, undertaken online between June 16 and August 1, 2011.  We are now using these results in the design and planning of programs, services, tools and the formation of partnerships.

The response to the survey was very good.  Our thanks go out to all who took the time to fill in the questionnaire. We hope you too will find the results useful.
